" In the Cane Fields"  - Woongoolba Hall, a historic building built over 100 years ago by early settlers. At the time the area now known as Woongoolba was surrounded by swamps and bounded by the Albert, Coomera Rivers and Morton Bay. Hence its name Pimpima Island. To this day the hall's official name remains "Pimpima Island and Districts Community Centre Inc." The centre operates as a non-profit organisation and retains all of its original charm.  Set amongst the cane fields it provides  a perfect venue for your community event or special occasion. It is ideally located half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
